EDUCATION AND CONTINUING EDUCATION
I received my bachelor’s degree from Michigan State University (Go Green!), where I majored in physiology. I then attended the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine, where I graduated with honors in clinical dentistry.
After dental school, I moved to New York City and completed a general practice residency at Montefiore Medical Center. All these years of training culminated and led me to Vanderbilt University for my Orthodontic Residency.
I then took the additional voluntary step of becoming board certified by the American Board of Orthodontics. I completed hundreds of hours of preparation and passed written and clinical examinations to achieve this certification.
As with most disciplines, advances in technology are changing the way we practice orthodontics. I enjoy attending continuing education courses so our patients can benefit from the latest innovations in treatment options.
FAMILY LIFE
My husband is a native of the Washington DC suburbs, and we enjoy taking advantage of all the arts and culture the city has to offer. We have a daughter, Lina, and a son, Kieran, who you may occasionally see as they love to visit Mom at the practice. During my free time, I enjoy vinyasa yoga and reading novels. I always have my nose in a book and often look to my patients for suggestions on my next read!
